Washing the face can symbolize wanting to change your identity or expression in a way that reveals your true self. If you are having a facial that focuses on pimples, your self esteem can be festering below the surface because of old tapes or feelings of being unworthy. In a sense, you are coming clean and allowing old wounds to be healed so your beautiful nature is revealed.
