Since furniture suggests the ideas that we rest upon, to dream of something taking place on the bed can have associations with sexual ideas. The bed also symbolizes what we make of experience as in 'make our bed and lie in it.' As a furniture symbol, it has associations with the deepest part of our nature, what is not easily changed about us.
