All types of correspondence in a dream relate to communication. This can hold the idea of communication with others and also, communication from within - as in intuition or inner guidance. If you receive bizarre mail from someone you do not know, the message can be about inner guidance as you open to unexplored ideas. Receiving or sending something in the mail (as opposed to a phone call) can portray issues related to agreements and the idea that what you are saying or hearing might be inspected more carefully because you may be jumping to conclusions. The slowness and dependence on others to deliver what we send through the mail can portray how 'lines get crossed' or how some part of us (defense mechanisms) can undermine clear communication with others.
